I consumed (yes, that’s the word, consumed) lots of books on my trip. Here’s a sampling for you:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first book of a 3-part series, and the fact that it’s on the New York Times Bestseller list is no surprise. One warning though: there’s a chance that once you start reading these books, you won’t be able to put them down.
As usual, I’ll leave you to read the Amazon reviews for the good stuff. Anything I might have to add would be redundant.
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Also available as a movie.
- The Girl Who Played with Fire
- The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest
I actually ordered the next two books by mistake because I thought they were by Robin Cook, but they were just praised by him. And for good reason. These books accurately (as in, plausibly) craft a story around an intelligent software agent wreaking havoc in the real world (I said plausible, not necessarily possible). The writing style is light and fast, and if this is your thing, you’ll have trouble putting them down.
(I also read a couple of technical books, but you don’t care about those) 🙂
