Michael I think you are being completely reasonable with this now. Before I was worried we would have to pay extra for premium but now I feel loads better. I am assuming the game may be up in 1 – 2 months maybe? I saw the picture of the avatar in the ocean and it looks like it’s almost ready to play! I have seen some talk of the old beta life time memberships still being honored at opening? I can’t seem to locate any answers about this being true. Being one of the original beta testers who was given a lifetime membership I was just wondering if this was true?
I think that some of the original bunch might still like to pay for “there” memberships anyway, as a way to show support and help There. I was wondering if you would honor any of those requests to go ahead and pay for the membership and if so… how could those that want to do so accomplish this?
Thank you for bringing this back to us! Thank you for all of the extremely hard work you all are doing! If there is ANYTHING I/we can do please simply ask! Obviously most of us would love to help be a part of this great venture again as we were before!!

I sat up for about 3 hours thinking about this. We are the free advertising There.com needs.
The videos on YouTube, links in emails, telling friends, twitter feeds, RSS feeds… everything. We are their main source
of members. If we all come back for a monthly membership, make sure people know we are There (No pun!), the absolute greatness will be released.
As Francis7 pointed out – it is Miracle Pictures either birthday. I remember the time he invited everyone to voice their memories. I wasn’t there due to work but I remember it. I looked at that video again and I smiled. I am ready for There to come back. I will make sure my friends know, my clients (who love social games) and such. The money raised for this is as equal to a lan party I go to each month. I will just stop going and put it into There. The placed I always wanted to be.
Michael, do you want us to advertise the heck out of the game for you? I know funds are limited and that we are the community that creates the game in itself. I wanted to help all that I could.

I am really enjoying seeing the new work from There finally coming together. I purchased an old account way back in the day before I turned 18 but now I am ready to get my own and start up a monthly membership.
Michael, you have a great team and you have a backing of a community ready to put up a credit card for payment as well as the additions that made There great. I am sure you will have some volunteers that will go ahead and pick up some slack like your Customer Support, Technical Support and Q/A teams did.
As with most of the other posters, I agree that There was nothing like your competitors. And to this day, I have many people who come into my office asking for a Social Online Community like There. I keep telling them to look at the site: It is reopening.

Today is Miracle Pictures eighth birthday, having started on this day in 2003! To celebrate here is a very short pilot for a series which we intended to shoot in other virtual worlds, and the concluding very short episode where some very strange looking Thereians return to There.com! It really will be great to be back in There! This pilot was thought up by Rick_Slick, and I must point out that Disky wanted to do a very similar pilot, but more with a Sliders motif. Rick-Slick’s briliant idea won out… as he bribed me with some pizza.

No, when I was small we had a black lab named Cookie. It ran away and we got another black lab and her name was Cookie II. They were both named after a dog my dad had as a kid, so technically Cookie was Cookie II and Cookie II was Cookie III and Cookie in There was Cookie IIII… but she answered just fine to Cookie.

I had named one of my dogs Therebucks. That way whenever someone would ask to borrow therebucks I’d lend them my dog named Therebucks. The first time I did this the guy kept saying it didn’t work, that his balance hadn’t changed and would ask me to try again. After about the third or fourth time of lending him Therebucks, my dog, I gave up and left. Not sure if he ever realized I was lending him a dog. Luckily most people I pulled this prank on had a sense of humor. lol

I have launched a Social Networking Community since There.com closed. About 650 members strong so far, and a THERE.com Group, Fan Club, and a page peel that links to there.com, so hopefully I can bring a lot of my members with me to join and experience The BEST 3D World on the Planet…..period!
I can’t wait to get back in there also to revive the Scion Cruisin’ Show & Shine Club.

Harrison. There are still a few of us around ;–). I’m a beta member with lifetime subscription and so is my sis! I remember signing up way back in 2003 by providing my system specs by a web form on there.com. I signed my sister and I both up and she actually received an invite before me. I just got word of the reopening about 5 days ago.

Ok, this is one of those technical pain in the rear kinda questions: We (TMP- The Meeting Place of Uru) have some members who will be unable to pay for There – a few of them are too poor and a couple of them no longer have credit cards – well, they no longer have credit cards because they’re too poor. Will there be some way other members can pay for them? Some sort of gift subscription? I wanted to send an email about it but couldn’t figure out where to send it.
