Another Reminder on Banned Members

If you’re banned from There.com, it’s probably for a good reason.

There are some bans which we may reconsider in the future, but there are some people, and they know who they are, who won’t be reconsidered. We’re afraid your permanent ban is, indeed, permanent.

In these cases, these people were banned for very serious offenses, such as hacking, running scripts, exploits, giving away There’s Intellectual Property, running script to break into people’s accounts, etc. We take all of these very seriously.

That means, that if you’re banned, and you try and get back in, you’re trespassing. That’s against the law, and, as some of you know, we won’t hesitate to take action.

It also means that if you give your account to someone who’s banned, or give them a “spare” account, or give them stuff in world, you’ll be banned too. Permanently. And remember, since we have a record of ”every” transaction, we’ll know.

I apologize to all the other members of There for having to post this, but I hope it at least tells you we’re serious about this.

I promise a more interesting post later. 🙂

Can i ask when are you going to allow the banned members who did a low offense things like swearing in public places for instants i was a bit angry with someone on Zona , i swore at alot of people plus a helper who was trying to resolve this issue , mind you this is back in 2009 a long time ago something i have to say is the stupiest thing i have ever done!.
I put alot of time into there.com not just hanging out but really getting the word about there.com out there in the internet with my there.com tv show ” BlackRoseShow ” , i really want to be apart of there.com again. Is there a way i could contact someone about this and maybe giving me a second chance at a virtual life perhaps ?

    Kind Regards,
    SapphireRose

If someone gives you their inventory and you don’t know they’re banned could you get in trouble too?

  3. #3 by mastof on 2012.04.16 - 5:30 pm

Wilson, it must really suck being an colorless a-hole like you. I suggest you stay in your stupid world with your stupid followers so the rest of us don\’t have to ever see your fat ugly face.

I would, but you keep calling me up and begging me to be your friend again.

What about members who were banned for being underage but sent their ID’s in?

  5. #6 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:20 am

I don’t think they’re going to ban cause they like doing it, You really have to do something really bad to get a perm ban. Why can’t people just have fun and stop all this chaos and ruining it for others. However it is hard to see who was banned and you’re gifting a month as well, especially if you were friends for sometime and didn’t know this friend was doing something wrong and gets banned then u get an email saying, Im sorry I wasn’t on for awhile I couldnt afford the 10$ and you feel bad. I don’t know its hard. I guess you just use your own judgement. I want this world to be safe and fun for all! Just becareful people who you’re friends are, if you see them causing trouble then its time to befriend them otherwise, you’ll go down with them. Anyways looking forward to new comers and helping them in anyway I can. Oh yeah! Where will they be landing once they’re in world? Thanks for the update MW.

      @ARBATA

I agree with you 100% Arbata, the judge jury and executor mentallity some of the older players have is definitely ruining my daisies. Some members are too smart for their own good while others rely on the vast majority to spoil what we once thought would never happened. We have a chance to make our world better, more fun and safe for everyone and instead we try to force our ideals into others, we judge their decisions, without even knowing where that real person is at the time or what has transpired in their RL lives.

I am so grateful to be able to login into There again, to have the opportunity to explore, create, play cards, listen and dance to music, share the good and bad or our RL days and yes get my avatar’s @$$ bounced around for a few hours with some of my best friends again. I am also happy for the challenges , arguments, disagreements and discord that seems to follow our (There) lifestyle. At the end of the day it has always been fun and games to me.

Thanks Michael Wilson, Dan, and Staff

        sole,
It’s hard for me to believe that you think that your disrespecting comments, about a friends death is; “At the end of the day it has always been fun and games to me.”
The anger you are seeing, from all of his friends is real. It is not some figment of your imagination because your “playing” a game.

        You’re very welcome!

I agree with you in part, But your saying someone who cant afford to be on every month is not to be trusted? lets not start prejudice

    • #11 by Dan Samuel on 2012.04.16 - 12:22 pm

Total newbies will arrive at the Welcome Walkway, as before, and then have to find their way to the Blimp and off to Zona/Paiz/Fisher from which they are free to enter the larger world.

Thanks Dan. Good to know. 🙂

  6. #13 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:10 am

Wow that was totally offensive, This I believe can cause you not to come into the world. You could’ve personally sent an email and explained your situation instead of being harsh on here…

  7. #14 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:07 am

Its very understandable MW. I just don’t understand people that like to ru things for others, also it ruins it if you became friends with someone who was doing wrong and u gifted them a month not knowing they were doing wrong. How do you solve that? I just wished people learn to have fun and stop ruining things for other players. Im so looking forward to seeing new comers come into world.

You put over 100,000 dollars into There? If you have that kind of money to spend on a “game” then you much be weathy indeed. Maybe you should be an investor!

    • #16 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:12 am

I agree if they have that much $$$ to put into a game, they should invest in there.com and become a solution not a problem.

Michael, thank you, and your staff, for taking the steps you have to in order to protect us the way you do.

Coffee’s great this am, but I think I might need more 🙂

  12. #21 by Hype_Dragon on 2012.04.16 - 1:48 am

I was going to leave a comment about if you give a banned member stuff without knowing their a banned member, but i’m glad it’s already been cleared up. One more question, if someone was to be banned without us knowing they were previously banned, (I don’t think this will happen because it’s our own fault) will be get our things back?
    Thank you in advanced.

  13. #22 by kalufrax on 2012.04.15 - 10:43 pm

That was incoherent enough to cross the threshold from annoying to funny.

  14. #23 by shanghei on 2012.04.15 - 9:24 pm

i just have one question about this… the part about giving them stuff in world… if a banned member is in world, they will obviously not be in their own banned avatar (duh)… (and i have NO clue who is banned, is there a list somewhere?) …. so if i give “stuff” to someone, which i do give stuff to people, how will i know if i am giving it to a banned person who is in world in someone else’s avatar? i don’t want to get banned permanently for being nice to someone… sheesh… what am i missing here? thanks !

    • #24 by Michael Wilson on 2012.04.15 - 9:56 pm

We’re smart enough to figure out if it was an innocent act of generosity as opposed to something else.

      • #25 by shanghei on 2012.04.16 - 7:23 am

you are????????? rofl !!!!!!!! sorry…. yeah… that was a blonde moment on my part, wasn’t it… ‘hang head ‘doh

    • #26 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:15 am

I think its just better to give during events and not just give cause someone asks or give cause you’re nice. It can be figured out if you’re being nice or somethings up like MW says. Unless you know the person personally or have been friends for awhile in world.

  15. #27 by NoBioN on 2012.04.15 - 9:19 pm

There’s always a slight chance you meet someone who is supposed to be banned without your knowledge. And you give them something small for a reason. And that would be a act of good intentions. Say you ban someone for giving something to a banned without them knowing, it is a possebility. Are there any precautions for that? Or do we have to e paranoid when giving or trading with a stranger from now on? I say this because it happens that i give something away to someone i only spoke to a little (a peice of furniture or a pair of wheels). I dont neccesary got any idea about them or their there history. People have as well given things to me after a short chat. So this happens everyday.

    • #28 by Michael Wilson on 2012.04.15 - 9:55 pm

We’re smart enough to figure out if it was an innocent act of generosity as opposed to something else. Don’t worry.

    • #31 by mimi06 on 2012.04.16 - 4:54 am

3 cups later and I think I better back off.. rofl 😀

    • #32 by arbatas on 2012.04.16 - 6:23 am

Why do you play in world if you’re calling him a lier! Sheesh thats cold. You do know they don’t have customer service yet? So it takes time for them to look though millions of inventory stuff to settle somethign missing? They have an email feedback@thereinc.com for things like that, not here.
