I think that cats would be nice, but I would also like to see more work done on ridable horses. The one horse “bike” I have is too stiff and doesn’t really give the feel of riding a horse. The other one moves constantly trying to run in place even when your not sitting on it! How about something in between! Agape’

Thanks, Zona is better but your still not there.
The lag and rubber banding is better, but the servers just cant carry the load of avies you had in there last night. There were still blockheads, in a group about 30 feet away.
Once I shoot someone out about 100 feet or more, they become a blockhead.
    Thanks again!

Blockheads have NOTHING to do with servers or bandwidth.

Blockheads are what the client does to preserve your frame rate when more than a certain number of avatars are in view.

Rather than have your framerate go down, the client will render what it perceives to be less important avatars (out of your chat group or immediate area) as blockheads.

There’s a perfknob setting somewhere to turn this off – I can try and find it if people are interested.

So, please stop saying the servers cause blockheads. They don’t.

        I stand corrected .. thanks.
Most of the serious paintballers have been tweaking the Perfknob settings for years.
and then, /local (if you have a compass with the Listener turned on.
The first 4 settings are changed from the default settings to:
If you guys feel that these, or additional settings will help the other problems, please give us your suggestions.
I have the number of avatars set at “all in view” so it must be a default number that cannot be exceeded.
I was NOT complaining. It’s a LOT better than it was! Thanks again.

Some people would love animated cats rather than dogs but myself I would love the deer to be animated and able to wander around a given area. Perhaps hooking them up so they stop when the avi logs out

Why would we have cats? Simple, another thing for the Theredogs to chase.

    • #13 by ImageMaker on 2012.06.03 - 10:58 am

It’d be considered normal to have a completely untrained cat. Perfect for those of us who don’t spend dozens of hours a week in world…

  15. #22 by mimi06 on 2012.06.03 - 3:29 am

Awsome news. Now maybe all those still “waiting to see what happens” will rejoin us. Have some faith folks, your missing out! 🙂

    • #23 by Jimuari Therian on 2012.06.03 - 10:10 am

It would be very interseting to know how many of the “NEW” members are actually “old” avis in new bodies and how many new people are actually here. Just a thought on the same note: Has anyone seen advertising for ANYWHERE beacuse I can’t find any?

Why would we want cats? Make a model. It does effectively the same thing a cat would 😛

      • #30 by PlAiNHaVoC on 2012.06.03 - 9:34 am

I disagree Percy, a static cat model couldn’t get into all the Lagoland Trash containers set by the curb… 😀
