I got to see someone special in concert last night. Before the show, I managed to get a picture of the playlist.

Can you guess who it was?

Fire and Rain is my favorite James Taylor. I have a few of his albums on vinyl and I think 3 on CD, but he needs to be heard on vinyl. Have Greatest Hits and One Man Band on my Phone now. I swept up my mothers vinyl collection last year when she got tired of storing all 3,000 something albums but he’s one I grew up with so had to dig his and my other favs out first.

Did he by chance sing “Traffic Jam” as well?

“Damn this traffic jam, hurts my motor to go so slow . . .”

Either way, I bet it was a great show.

Holy Cow! He’s so great — and he can still sing in tune, which is unusual for singers from his generation today (I’m looking at YOU, Judy Collins, with great sadness). (The only song I recognized by name was ‘Carolina’ though.)

I think that it is awesome for James Tayor to have made the free guitar lessons available online at his site. Sharing our talents is a sharing of ourselves. Check it out. ‘tu’

My guess, by the playlist, would be James Tayor. I hope that it was a good time for all. Live performances have such amazing vibes.

One of my fav songs is Carolina”

With a holy host of others standing ’round me
Still I’m on the dark side of the moon
And it seems like it goes on like this forever
    You must forgive me
If I’m up and goin’ to Carolina in my mind

I saw James Taylor walking down Massachusetts avenue in Boston back in the 90’s 🙂
