Soo, this is what’s up.

As you all know, the reason we can “re-open” There is because we moved from our own, dedicated servers, to servers “in the Cloud”, courtesy of Amazon AWS.

Thanks to the hard work of Bruce and SamSyn, that’s been relatively seamless.

However (and this is a bit geeky) one big difference is that the servers “inside addresses” (the ones we see) are different from their “outside addresses” (the ones you see). This is different from the “old There”, where these addresses were all the same. This is not something we can change.

This is good, because it’s a touch more security, but it’s bad because the There software maintains lots of network connections with the client, and it’s “used” to everything being the same.

So that’s what we’re fixing, and why the GPs can’t see their buddy lists, or assets – we can’t get the wiring completed yet.

This isn’t a big deal, and we’re fixing the places where’s it broken bit by bit. Hopefully the next fix will be the “last one” and we can move forward.

P.S. This didn’t show up in our testing because we test over a VPN.
