You think you’ll be winning by making a new account? You’ll be losing for funneling money to this awful game owned by rude, selfish, likely corrupt people.
I must admit it did bring a smile to my face when I watched it. What i find more distressing are the comments filled with language not normally found in most polite chat groups. While I understand There.com is now “Adult” to me that means grown up and mature and I don’t see how the language shows that in any way. You make more points backing your statements up with facts then with language better suited to a truck stop. I have noticed that people in There are doing this a lot more now. For me at least I don’t see this as a good thing or an improvement; or may I add, likely to attract new people and dollars.

While there are a few people who have been banned for stupid mistakes ( like a one time chargeback, etc) that were really good to, and for the community, the majority that have been banned for notoriously trolling, harassing, and being outright twits. For those people, I have no sympathy.
Michael, this is a plea to you on behalf of one other.
There is one case I would like to bring up. The avatar known as Kevman95 was a respected individual, who was loved by many, however did a really stupid thing with the chargeback from paypal. I know it has been said that these people will not be forgiven. I would be willing to stick my own “neck” out and accept responsibility for this person who I have been able to trust with Tbucks, items, etc and he has never failed in returning what was not his. If it were agreed that the person pay back “damages” to the company, would he be allowed back in? Any further infractions on his part, and you can ban both of us, because I truly believe that he would not make such a clumsy mistake again. Being the skeptic that I am, I do not risk anything of mine unless I believe 100 percent in what I am speaking. I’m not a betting man, and completely believe there will be no trouble from that account.

The “fraud” legally speaking consisting of the chargeback through paypal can happen easily for someone not paying attention to finances. I know that you would not intentionally do something like that, you are too honest a person.
As Jewish woman who will be observing Passover and Yom Hashoa next month, I am offended by the parody of the movie “Downfall”. It was one of the most horrific times in history of our world; but one we will always REMEMBER!!

If that’s the way you feel, no one is forcing you to pay a subscription and log in — but in that case, there’s no reason to harrass people who enjoy There, or post comments here about “shady” people. I’ve seen nothing that would substantiate any such charges — but plenty of evidence that Team Phoenix are patient, sensible, smart folks who seem well on the way to solving the problems There had before closing and getting everything running the way it should be.

Did I miss something? I couldn’t find anything funny in either of the videos.
I don’t know what the second one is. Just didn’t find it funny.
But the first is a masterpiece of reflecting on the darkest part of German history and its’ final hours in Hitler’s bunker. Hitler at this point was still fantasizing about winning the war, only hours before the Russians take over Berlin and he commits suicide along with Nazi propaganda chef Joseph Goering and his wife, who first poisoned their five innocent children, because they couldn’t “stand the idea of being raised in a non national socialist society”.
Really, all Al Qaida and any other extremist or terrorist group you can think of, any dictatorial regime of the present, how ever rightful contemptible, can keep up with the crimes and the millionfold suffering the Nazi regime has caused.
I admit, the intention I am sure, is honest and innocent, but to me, I’m sorry to say that, it seems quite inappropriate to tamper with the lines of this movie by transmogrifying sub titles.
This is a very serious film about a very serious historical period.
But be warned:
This is not a heroic Hollywood production.
Facts not fiction, real emotions not special effects are what count here.
You might learn to really hate, I mean really deeply hate what the Nazis did to each and every person in Germany and the world, what they made ordinary, normal, nice people like you and me, fathers, mothers, neighbors, friends, colleagues, just like you and your loved ones do.
And there was absolutely nothing anyone really could have done about it. It’s the helplessness that paralysis a whole country, – wipes out awareness and compassion, causes a pain so deep and fundamental that many of us Germans still feel it, though we are the next and even the second next generation.
We try hard never to forget, to help avoid that anything like that can ever happen again.
Just had to say that.
Being happy these times are so over for all of us:
But thinking of our Brothers and Sisters suffering in Syria, Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan and far too many more places around the globe that urgently need to find peace and freedom.
Not meaning to offend anyone.

Is anyone else getting sick of disgruntled or banned members? There are some members who probably shouldn’t have been banned, I hope their appeals are being taken seriously. Perhaps these issues can be more fully discussed in other discussion boards. I hope this blog will continue to be updates on the status of There improvement/updates.
But I hope you’re not spending too much time on this, Michael, you’ve got systems set up to keep griefers and kids out of There. A few will always game the system, accept this and move on. Serve the loyal, paying members already in There, complete tweaking the world so it can be opened to new members, and work on marketing strategies to attract noobies.
Thanks for all you do. I’m having a blast being back in There: playing cards, visiting favorite places, doing CCR (thanks, Emma and _Phantom!) and just reveling in reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.

So… You haven’t paid attention to anything that’s been posted here over the past seven or eight months concerning how everyone has to pay a monthly subscription — which has led There to post a profit for the first time in its history. How they have a staff of three (and a part-timer) trying to do everything, which sometimes results in no response to questions that have been very effectively answered many times since the idea of re-opening was floated.
Or did you just come here to try to draw people to IMVU? I, personally, don’t like the direction IMVU is going, and consider many aspects of that system “broken” — but even if it were good on all levels, it’s still just a chat system with graphics, not a virtual world like There. Not at all the same…

i “liked” the post, because it so accurately depicts the mentality of a very few i have seen having a rant in forums and groups about their banned status… i am just glad for others, who do not have this attitude, that if they fall under the criteria for reconsideration, they won’t be judged based on people like this.
I am trying my best, in being an adult woman of the Jewish faith not to use ( excuse the pun here) any “unorthodox” words here. Let’s just say I am distressingly insulted even though this was not directed towards me, but yourself, Mr. Wilson.
Even if this inhuman specimen was not banned before, I would find it easy an request that this would be done immediately.
